Story

John Cosgrove, on the 5th October 2021, is doing a 500km bike ride across the French Pyrenees.

John has raced all over the world since the 70's but in March 2019, he was diagnosed with bladder cancer and has been undergoing treatment at Broadgreen Hospital. He has not raced since his diagnosis but he knows how modern medicine has helped him overcome this cancer. He now wants to support others and has chosen our Liverpool based charity, in conjunction with Alder Hey Children's Hospital, So The Child May Live. 100% of the money raised will go to pay for extra staff, training and lifesaving equipment and John will self fund the trip. John is Ester Mufti's son in law who is one of the trustees and one of the founding members of the charity. To find out more about the charity, check out their website and Facebook page
