Story

On Sunday 12th September 2021 I will be running the Great North Run to support my chosen charity and hopefully raise some much needed funds.
Alfies dream for Greyhounds was set up in 2019 after nine-year-old ex-racer Alfie suffered a crippling spinal injury and unfortunately passed away.
The charity is dedicated to finding homes for retired ex racing Greyhounds. The number of Greyhounds looking for retirement homes is rising due to many race tracks being closed down. All money raised will go towards medical care and general well being of the hounds before they can be placed into a loving home.
Alfies dream for greyhounds was launched by Mandy Bleasdale, a inspiring lady with a big heart who has devoted her life to the care and rehoming of retired greyhounds. As well as numerous greyhounds under her care she also has her own large family of hounds!
Anyone who knows me, knows I love animals, particularly dogs and now I have a bit of a soft spot for all things hound. Andy and I previously rehomed Harry Potter (aka Athletic John) and recently rehomed George (aka Cabriol Ezra). I would love to be able to give something back to enable Mandy to carry on doing what she does best.
Thank you. X x X
