Story
As most of you know up in accounts/admin we chose a charity to support each quarter to raise money for by doing bake sales, dress down days etc.
This quarter our chosen cause is one close to the Trust Ford family as its to help one of our own, Paula Harmel and her family have had some heart-breaking news regarding her brother Sean who is just 47 and is currently undergoing treatment for what is unfortunately pancreatic cancer. This has hit the whole family really hard. Sean, his wife and two children live in Aberdeen so currently Paula, her sister and their mum and dad are doing their best to get up there as often as possible – sometimes flying up and back the same day just to be able to spend maybe a few precious hours with him. We thought it would be nice, to try and raise a bit of money to cover some of the travelling costs – if we made a big effort it could mean an extra flight or two up there for them.
For anyone that knows me or ever happens to walk past my desk, knows that I can’t go through the day with around 2 litres of diet coke or Pepsi max. In an effort to raise money I am giving it up for the month of November and am looking for sponsorship.
