Every child needs a parents love and support. You often hear the phrase it takes a community to raise a child but when your child is extra special it really does! Both of my children are extra special and when they were younger we were lucky enough to have family, friends and colleagues band together to help us raise money for treatment.
Now its someone elses turn to need their friends and community.
Evie‘s Dad ran from the 2 hospitals they were treated last year and raised money to help Evie which was fantastic. But Evie will continue to get bigger as children do and more items will be needed. Car seats, pushchairs, highchairs are even more expensive when your child has additional needs.
So at roughly the same time this year as Gary did last year I’ll be riding a Bay to Bay charity ride to raise money to support Evie and her family.
I’ll be starting from my home town in Herne Bay and riding around the coast past all of our fabulous bays until I reach Walmer Bay in Deal, then after refueling at The Sea Cafe in Walmer I’ll be heading back. Its around a 66 mile round trip taking in 16 Bays on route and will be nearly 7 hours in the saddle!
I will release a timed agenda nearer the date and we are aiming for the last weekend in August/1st weekend in September depending on weather.
