Story

I am 'running to remember' my brother Stephen who was taken from us ten years ago on Bonfire night.

Stephen wasn't just a headline or a murder victim, he was a much loved member of a close knit family and a friend to many.

Stephen was funny, cheeky, mischievous, loving, hardworking but could also be a pain in the @ss!!

I haven't done any exercise (hate exercise) since Stephens death but wanted to set myself a challenge in his memory. I have started training to run the Lancaster Half Marathon on 5th November. Aaaargh!!!

I will be raising money for two charities who come under the same umbrella.

Families Fighting For Justice is a charity created by Jean Taylor who has also lost family members to murder. It provides vital support to families of murder, manslaughter and culpable road death victims.

Also, Our Lost Love Years (OLLY) was created by Joseph, a young boy who lost his mother to murder.

OLLY provides children and young people who have suffered the loss of a loved one through acts of violence and also children from communities across merseyside with support and a range of activities designed at helping them to re-gain the fun in their lives and help them re-establish and make friendships following their traumatic experiences.

These are two charities we hope you never have to access but sadly others do and every penny helps. Please donate and help make the tenth anniversary of Stephens death a positive one. Thank you xx
