Story
Thomas was born with a rare condition called Microcephaly Lymphoedema Chorioretinal Dysplasia. This was unknown to his parents and doctors until birth and means Thomas has a under developed brain causing delays in all aspects of his life especially communication and learning development. Thomas also cannot control the fluid within his body which collects in his hands and feet and is also registered blind.
Over the next two months I will be taking part in a 43 mile road bike challenge and jumping out of a plane!! I have never been on a road bike before last week, and I have never jumped from a plane.
I am doing all of this to help raise much needed funds for an amazing little boy, who’s needs are ever evolving as he continually defies his doctors and reaches new milestones.
One big thing I have learnt about Thomas is his lack of safety and awareness of the simple dangers around him. It can be a huge danger for him just being in his own home. He is now in need of a ‘safe space bed’ these cost thousands! But this bed is now crucial to his safety and wellbeing. This specialist equipment will enable Thomas' parents to know he is safe and out of danger at bed times and will also allow Thomas an extra area to have his time and be out of danger.
I am attempting to raise funds and awareness with my challenges. Please take the time to have a look at Thomas’s facebook page - Thomas - Microcephaly Lymphoedema Chorioretinal Dysplasia. You can also follow our cycling progress on the facebook page zero to hero.
so I am now asking you to please please sponsor me if you can. Every donation is greatly appreciated. ❤️❤️❤️
