Stand With James

My husband James is just 52 years old. He's a loving husband, an amazing dad to our three children, and someone who is loved by so many people.

Our lives changed forever when James was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Like many families, we were completely blindsided.

Pancreatic cancer is often called the "silent killer" because the signs and symptoms can be vague, easily mistaken for other conditions, and are often not recognised until the disease has already spread.

From the moment James was diagnosed, we made one promise to each other...

We will leave no stone unturned.

Thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity of so many people, we've already reached our first fundraising milestone.

Because of you, we can now fund Caris Molecular Intelligence® tumour profiling. This advanced testing uses the biopsy samples already taken from James's tumour to look for its unique molecular fingerprint. The hope is that it may identify future targeted treatments, immunotherapy or clinical trials that could be suitable for James's specific cancer.

We will be sharing everything we learn along the way so that, hopefully, it can help other families facing pancreatic cancer too.

Although this is an incredible first step, our journey doesn't end here.

We'll continue fundraising to give James access to the best evidence-based treatment opportunities available, including specialist opinions, future treatment options, travel for appointments if needed, and anything else that may give him the best possible chance and the best possible quality of life.

This journey has also become about something much bigger than fundraising.

We're determined to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer, helping people recognise the signs and symptoms earlier, sharing what we're learning, and supporting others who suddenly find themselves walking this path.

James is facing this diagnosis with incredible courage, determination, humour and strength.

We don't know what the future holds, but we do know this...

We will continue fighting.

We will continue hoping.

And we will continue leaving no stone unturned.
