Story

Jessie is 13 years old and has cerebral palsy which affects the muscles in both of her legs and right side. Jessie is a full time wheelchair user and relies on adult support to help her get around. In 2014 (at 6 years of age) Jessie was kindly gifted a viper trike, this made a huge difference to Jessie as she could independently join in on family walks and other activities. Jessie joined in at brownie roller disco’s riding round on her trike. When friends went cycling at the park, Jessie again could join in without relying on adults to push her around. The trike has also made a huge difference on family holidays as she has been able to ride across the sand on the beach and along woodland tracks, these are trickier in her every day wheelchair as it gets stuck. Living at the top of a big hill means it’s harder to get Jessie home when we have taken our dog for a walk, which Jessie loves to do. The trike Jessie currently has is now too small for her, we are able to trade it in but still need raise a substantial amount to purchase a trike and wheelchair that will see her through to adulthood. We would really appreciate your help, to help us on our fundraising journey. Many thanks xx
