Story
We're raising money towards a powerchair for Sarah. To transform her life after years bedridden & housebound, since being hit by a car while out in her manual wheelchair.
This devastating accident in July 2018 caused life-changing head, spinal & thoracic injuries for Sarah at only 29yrs old. Making her current disabilities far more challenging & bringing new difficulties to face.
Sarah is proudly Autistic & isn't afraid to be herself, with passions for nature, science, sci-fi, gaming, journalling, art, neurodiversity & mental health. She’s always been driven to help others, yet struggles to ask for & accept help herself.
She's faced this harrowing, isolating & traumatic time with fortitude, determination & humour.
Never giving up on her future! So we now join together, to help her build the fulfilling life full of opportunities that she deserves!

As Sarah battles limited mobility, severe pain, fatigue, weakness, neurological difficulties & other challenges. Having lost her ability to do many things we can easily take for granted.
She remains the caring, funny & strong person we love, but she's trapped & with your help, this powerchair can free her, enabling her to fulfil her potential!
Examples of benefits to her health, wellbeing & quality of life this chair will bring:
Access to healthcare, community, hobbies & going out with loved ones.
Independent movement builds confidence.
Adjustable positions adapt to fluctuating needs. Incl. neuralgia, spasms, muscle & joint pain.
Postural support & suspension stabilises & protect vulnerable spine/joints. Most of all on uneven ground & in the car. Plus reduces pain & fatigue on the move.
Sitting upright assists breathing, vital for asthma, severe since the crash due to thoracic injuries, being bedridden & multiple infections.
Other benefits incl: Better muscle strength, heart health, gut health & function, reduced risk of falls & injuries.
