I've raised £1000 to support Into The Light a not for profit project founded by Survivors of Sexual Violence to provide a range of services to men and women

I am trekking Ben Nevis at the end of May to raise money for Into The Light www.intothelight.org.uk a Community Interest Company that exists to provide counselling, support, information and resources to men and women who have been sexually abused and also those that support them including Partners and Mental Health Professionals.
They do this through providing a range of services including one to one counselling, groups, workshops and training and over the years helped hundreds of Survivors and their supporters to recover from the damage of sexual abuse which frequently impacts them emotionally, physically and relationally often casing them to live isolated and disadvantaged lives.
Nearly a quarter of young adults (21.1%) experienced sexual abuse (including contact and non contact), by an adult or by a peer during childhood (NSPCC 2011) yet Survivors are often left without support.
The money I raise could subsidise the support and counselling of men and women Survivors of Sexual Abuse who do not have the funds to pay for themselves; £40 would pay for One Survivor to have a single counselling session, £60 would enable Two Survivors to attend an Into The Light Workshop and £150 would subsidise One Survivor to attend the Into The Light Ten Week Psycho-Education Course for ten weeks.
