The Farm Midwifery Center is located in Summertown, Tennessee. It was founded in 1971 and provides a safe environment for women and their families to fulfill their desire for natural childbirth.

As part of my second year we as Student Midwives can chose our own elective placement, in an area which is of interest to us. The ethos and surroundings of The Farm have sparked an interest and the itinerary of learning supports many aspects of my degree. Ina May Gaskins is a founder of The Farm and the author of Spiritual Midwifery and has been called the 'Mother of modern Midwifery'.

This is the chance of a lifetime and an opportunity not to be missed. I hope to raise enough funds to fulfill my wish of studying at The Farm Midwifery Center in order to expand my experiences and knowledge.
