Story
Sark is open for Business
"Our beautiful Island has experienced some trials in recent times. I believe this project will stir islanders’ hearts and strengthen their resolve to return to self-sufficiency." Christopher Beaumont, Seigneur of Sark
The initial plan is to create a sustainable dairy that contributes to the economy as well as the spirit of the community. A dairy that Sark can be proud of. A project that is GOOD FOR SARK and is GOOD FOR YOU.
We have raised just over £360,000 towards a sum of £480,000 to complete the project. So there's still plenty to do and we really need your help.
Sark is up and running, it’s open for business. Our island has a history of producing the absolute highest quality dairy products. Come and visit to find out what all the fuss is about.
The Trust will start by creating a new dairy business to be run by experienced tenant farmers. We will then turn our attention to projects that enhance the beauty of the landscapes, particularly the coastline. The first project will focus on reintroducing goats to the north of the island to assist in the management of L'Eperquerie Common.

Sark Community Dairy Charitable Trust
3 years agoHi everyone! Sark Dairy Trust team here. We have been making amazing progress on the dairy and fundraising over the last 12 months from when the project really kick-started. We have so far raised an amazing £360,000 out of our £480,000 fundraising goal. This has been done through various events, private donations and several online campaigns where the support has been unbelievable. The dairy building and milking parlour is nearing completion, with cows due to arrive from Guernsey in the coming weeks.

Sark Community Dairy Charitable Trust
Isle of Sark, Channel Islands
Sark Community Dairy Charitable Trust was set up by like minded local Island residents who saw the need to maintain a working dairy on the Isle of Sark, after the previous family dairy closed for business in 2017.
