Story
Dear Sir/Madam,
We have exciting news!
Our daughters, Shannon Donovan & Ellie-Mae Wheeler have been recognized as the top English dancers at the 2018 World Irish Dance Championships fighting off competition from all over the globe. The girls dance for the Claddagh Academy of Irish Dance which is based in London and a well renowned school for over 40 years. The girls train up to 6 days a week and compete across the UK on a weekly basis. Their dedication and determination is second to none.
In the past year, Shannon & Ellie-Mae have won multiple titles all over the UK & Ireland, and have now received confirmation they have been granted places to compete at the 2019 North American National Championships in Vancouver – this is an amazing achievement and a dream come true for our girls. The girls are both recognized as potential winners and have the opportunity to bring the title home to London.
Due to the current economic climate the trip is working out very costly, as I am sure you can imagine. We are reaching out to you for potential sponsorship to allow our girls to compete at this elite level. We are willing to do whatever it takes to make this trip possible as we do not want financial hardship to take this opportunity away from our talented, hardworking and determined daughters. The girls are featured regularly in local and national newspapers and we would of course do what we can to highlight the support that you have given us if you were able to sponsor in any form.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our letter and we would love to hear from you:
