William became very ill about a week ago. I took him to the vets on Wednesday and they told me he had cat flu and anorexia and he was turning purple and he would need emergency treatment and to go to the hospital there and then and stay for around 3 days which would cost me one thousand pounds. I said I can't afford this. I had to borrow off a friend and will pay them off which has put me in debt. When they took william to the hospital they said he needed an oxygen mask to breath and he had lost so much weight with the flu and he needed to be on a drip as he was dehydrated and his liver had gone. They had to have him on a drip for the antibiotics because of all the discharge in his mouth..He has had ivft abs antinflsmostores and nebulisation. Now they said he has to stay in the vets for 6 to 10 days and if he doesn't eat they will have to put him under anasethic when he already had a tube put in his neck to eat...I have phoned all the rescue charities but they won't take him because of his cat flu . He has been in hospital 8 days tmr and the bill has gone up and up. I keep telling them I can't afford this and he will have to come out and they said they will put him down as it would be neglect to take him out. I don't know how I can pay anymore. He is showing signs of improvement but the thought of losing him because I can't financially pay his vets bill is destroying me as I have already paid the fee they wanted but he has been so ill he has had to stay longer and have more aggressive treatment and he needs to stay in longer. I love William so much and can't lose him this way because of lack of funds and trying to get him help but no one will take him.
