Our beautiful border collie, Coby, has been found to have lower eyelids that fold in, causing her eyelashes to grow in towards her eyes instead of out. This means Cobes is in significant increasing discomfort, and her vision and general eye condition is likely to deteriorate seriously within the very near future. It's been decided by the vet that the only solution to this issue is surgery that will effectively remove a large part of the lower eyelid. Unfortunately, the insurance company has decided that despite this never being spotted before, it counts as a pre-existing condition and therefore is ineligible for coverage. If left untreated, Coby's eyesight will dramatically decrease, but the surgery is £950. With two children and many animals, this is an unexpected, and very difficult expense, so while we hate to ask, any help -no matter how big or small - would be seriously appreciated.
