Story

These fields will disappear forever if we don’t act now

Under plans proposed by developers, green belt land grazed for centuries at Harts Farm is at serious risk of being developed for hundreds and hundreds of houses and a school.

Approval of the outline planning application at Harts Farm could open the floodgates to much more than the previously cited 310 houses, primary school and hub.

Imagine thousands of extra cars on Little Bushey Lane; increased likelihood of flooding; dwindling wildlife habitats; and of course, no public transport. This precious green Belt needs to be protected for future generations.

Our campaign has secured more than 3,000 objections to the outline planning application, but now is the time for professional help and we need to raise £10,000 for the expertise of planning and environmental consultants.

We have lined up Chroma Planning to present our case against the development and individual Little Bushey Community committee members have underwritten the deposit for now. But this is a community campaign and we need our residents to step up to the plate to help save this swathe of valuable green belt teaming with wildlife.

Unless we challenge the proposal we envisage that some 600 houses will be built on the 18-hectare site.

Please donate whatever you can, NOW.

Don't let the sun go down on Harts Farm.
