Hello, my name is Baloo. Since 2017, my restaurant Hullabaloo has been providing tasty, healthy and unique vegeterian/vegan food in the heart of Deptford in South East London.

I have been working in the restaurant business for over 17 years, working in multiple cuisines, including mitchelin star restaurants. One day my soul changed; I became concious of the cruel processes involved in serving and preparing meat dishes. I thought, what can I do to help the universe? I found myself no longer been able to work in a kitchen which served meat. It took me one year to decide what I wanted to do. And that is how Hullabaloo was born. Through the help of my friend Joel and the community, I was able to set up my resaurant in Deptford and have been on a mission since to serve healthy, exciting vegetarian and vegan food to the public.

Those who know me will tell you that I am a positive person who cares about the community. But like many local businesses, we have been hit hard by the pandemic.

Without financial support, I will not be able to continue to keep the restaurant open. Covid has hit our foot fall and as we have been unable to open the restaurant for a large part of the last year, we are struggling to pay rent, staff and operating costs. Takeaway delivery platforms take over 30% commission from every sale too, which is hard for us to operate as a business.

Raising this money will help secure the future of the restaurant and allow us to keep moving forward with our mission. I am very passionate about what we do and love the support we have had from our customers in recent weeks.
