Story
Almost four years ago developers intimated they intended to desecrate our local area by building 900 houses on our green fields. Since then SOS, on behalf of local residents has fought tirelessly to protect those green fields and the land that was left in trust for the community. Now we have the opportunity to force the developer to listen to the concerns of Thornton people by seeking a judicial review. Help us protect our beautiful environment by giving whatever you can afford to the fighting fund. Every little counts.

7 years agoPeople who wish to donate can do so in the kowledge that the legal opinion the committee have been given by a barrister is that such a review has a realistic chance of success . That is why the process was commenced before it became time expired. Comments to the contrary by unqualified individuals with a longstanding axe to grind are not helpful. SAVE OUR STANAH COMMITTEE

7 years agoYesterday Wainhome put another apolication for 66 houses on top of the 160! Wainhomes will not answer how they are going to deal with flooding, road system, schools, doctors and Wyre Council waved through this original application without asking for contributions from the developer.
