Story
The Philippines is the northern most part of the coral triangle which reaches from Bali in Indonesia across to Solomans covering Papua new Guinea then going up as far as top of Visayas in this country.
Our goal is to raise enough money to help the local people find more sustainable ways to fish rather than destructive ways like long fishing nets. We would like to take one area which has some great coral coverage and protect the reef and help bring the local fishery folk into the mix so they can be well informed in no take zones which we will start off with one at a time through LGU.
The money we will raise will help bring children and adults for swimming and snorkeling lessons led by professional divers, conservationists and volunteers from all over the place.
Buy mask, snorkel and fins sets for use by our sea rangers to keep people safe always too.
Also money will go towards making signs and tarpaulins explaining the importance of the coral reef for future generations.
Plus we will plan to build artificial reef buds to regenerate coral in dead zones which may have been dynamited in the past.
With all this set and done we can save one area which will save countless people from starving in the future.
God bless.
