I've raised £10000 to retain open access to our local green space and parkland as enjoyed for generations- for future generations.

The Royal Courts Of Justice recently handed down a decision to Bristol City Council to 'review' Town and Village Green Status for our local parkland, meaning that the decision is very likely to be quashed and our local green space will be lost. A school, some 2.8 miles away has leased the land for 100+ years at what is believed to be £25K per year. We believe they intend to develop the land into a sports ground.
Our beautiful green space, which has been enjoyed for generations is now at threat. The last planning application is believed to have included a very high fence around the entire perimeter of the near 28 hectare site meaning access would not be allowed to the local community.
More information is available at: Stokelodgetvg.co.uk or our Facebook group Save Stoke Lodge Parkland
With your help we can raise awareness, engage consultants to help us achieve a more balanced and mutually beneficial use of the local space for the whole community.
Funds would be managed carefully and robustly by a team of local community volunteers and members from our Facebook group, with accounts kept and available at request. Any significant decisions would be issued out to just over 560 members to agree a consensus. Any funds that are not used would be donated to another local community or charity with the consensus agreement by the group members.
