Our Community Hub is at Risk

Since opening in 2022 The Parent Hood has been a beacon of support and a lifeline for hundreds of Harlow families looking for physical and emotional support during the first 5 years of parenthood. Due to the impending sale of our building, families could lose access to this vital community asset and the wide range of sessions offered. We want to make sure that doesn’t happen.

In the past 2 years Harlow has lost community spaces to private developers putting a further strain on local businesses.

We want to:

* Expand the selection of classes, events and sessions (pre & postnatal support, exercise and children’s activities)

* Secure a building long-term and make it a desirable venue for local businesses to host sessions

* Grow our presence beyond Harlow to neighbouring areas who would also benefit

We are raising £450,000 to secure a building as a community space which will be available for local people and businesses. The amount is ambitious but we have supported over 1000 families already. If each family donated £50 we would be well on our way to securing a space to continue our good work
