I've raised £2000 to Help support the grassroot Sierra Leonean charity Girlz Empowered

The SAVE5Project is an annual campaign that brings people together to raise money for small to medium sized charities that work with black or ethnic minority children. The project has been running for three years now but this is the first year we are working with a charity established and run in Africa.
This year's charity is Girlz Empowered. It is a charity that works with young girls to help them build vocational skills that they may not learn at school and also advocates for issues that affect young girls such as FGM and sexual and gender based violence.
We have had meetings with the founder of this charity to see where the need is in Sierra Leone, so the money raised will go to two different projects:
1. #SkilledGirlzForce - to help improve vocational skills of young girls in Sierra Leone
2. Menstruation project - to help end #periodpoverty, especially in Bombali District, Sierra Leone
This year, to ensure the money raised provides as much sustainability as possible for these projects, we will be working with the founder to review the projects quarterly. This includes the budgets for each project, video updates, evaluation reports and more. If you would like updates, please sign up for the newsletter at www.save5project.com.
Thank you for your continued support.
Let's help change a child's life.
