I've raised £6000 to Fund the surgery to fix Charlie the Cockapoo's front paws

I'm Stephanie and I live just outside Glasgow with my husband Bradley, our son Theo and our amazing cockapoo Charlie.
I have set up this page to try to raise money to fund the operations required to fix Charlie's front paws.
Charlie is a friendly, lovable and gentle 7 year old cockapoo and a couple of months ago we took him to the vet with concerns over his front legs.
Our vet referred us to an orthopedic specialist who diagnosed Charlie with severe carpal hyperextension on both front legs to the extent that the joints have completely collapsed. The specialist advised that he would require surgery on both legs to fuse the joints together to allow his legs to function normally again.
As soon as we found out we contacted our insurance provider to see if we were covered for the treatment. However, it turns out we are only covered up to £1500 and the surgery will cost in the region of £6500 - £7000, which unfortunately we can't afford.
At a second appointment this week, we were told that we should act fast to fix his front legs as it's looking likely that one of his rear paws will go the same way. If this happens it would be too much to operate on all three legs.
That's why we are setting up this page. We are appealing to all dog and animal lovers to help. Even if you can only spare £1 for Charlie's treatment, it would mean the world to us. We don't want our poor boy to suffer on any longer and we can't stand by and do nothing. He is a wonderful dog who deserves a chance at a longer life.
Thanks,
Stephanie & Bradley
