Story
Jamie, a British boy aged nearly 11 years old, is shut away in a children’s centre on the edge of the desert near Dubai, UAE.
Following a two week holiday in Dubai where his father works, Jamie steadfastly refused to return to his mother in France, citing his fear of her mentally and physically abusive environment. He is in the Children Centre because he refuses to live with his mother. She could have released him at any moment, but refuses to do so, preferring to keep him locked away.
Jamie is not allowed to see the family and friends that love him. He is in a life-threatening situation and desperately needs the help and support of us all.
When he lived with his mother, he said that when he went to sleep, he wished that he wouldn't wake up. This is known as 'suicidal thinking'. He is so desperate, so disempowered because the French Authorities refuse to listen to him, that he has also, said on several occasions that he will kill himself if he is forced to live with his mother. His mother and the French Authorities refuse to listen to his despair and are doing all they can to literally force him to be with her.
Jamie's human rights are being destroyed by their actions. He is under a great deal of stress, and urgently needs his voice to be heard. We are trying to raise funds to get his voice heard. If ever a good resolution is found for James and he can live somewhere where he feels secure and happy, we want to be able to give him the correct and caring counselling to help him overcome these desperate traumas.
Jamie is having to endure more than most adults would be able to cope with. His physical health has deteriorated considerably due to the stress, and his mental health is fading. We are all desperately worried for his safety and his life.
Please donate whatever you can to help us get Jamie's voice heard, his concerns, needs & wishes listened to. We also hope to get the specialist help & support Jamie will need going forwards to help him recover from this appalling, life-changing episode.
Thank you so much for your support.
