Story

Nelly is a 15 week old Labrador Retriever who has had a number of different homes already in her short life. Her third owners realised very quickly that something wasn't ok with her and they bought her into the veterinary practice where I work as a nurse. It was later discovered that Nelly has a probable liver shunt, she would need a CT or ultrasound scan to confirm this, her owners unfortunately couldn't afford the cost of further investigation and referral to a specialist so I decided to have her signed over to me so I can attempt to find a way to get her the surgery she deserves. Nelly is currently being medically managed at home with myself and the help of my loyal springer spaniel who she has taken a real shine too,

BUT she will soon start suffering, so we really are on a short time frame to raise these funds. I am currently in talks with a variety of different specialists and charities to find anyway possible to make this happen for her. She really does love life and deserves a chance to live it!

We are doing so well with all your support and i would like to thank you all individually but unfortunately a cheeky puppy is taking up a lot of my time. You are all wonderful, amazing people ❤️

We have managed to get an estimate for ultrasound and surgery at a lower amount so we are even closer to our target. Thanks again you angels!

Dur to generous provate donations we have now reached our target! We cannot thank you all enough for your support! we will keep you all updated

you can follow on facebook under Nellys progress https://www.facebook.com/groups/137057406990260/

After Nelly's scan results, we have found out about a procedure that she can have which is less invasive and has a better recovery time. Unfortunately we have not raised enough money for that, we will be still accepting donations although we now have enough to give Nelly the more traditional approach which will also save her. So we now have to fatten Nelly up and then we will look at funds in a months time and take it from there. Thank you again all for your loyal support. Big love from us all xx

OK we are going for it and attempting to raise money for the more advanced procedure due to it being advised by the spealist. I will later be publising part of her report for you to read! Weve come all this way so lets get Nelly the best we can💪🏼

UPDATE: We are so amazed to have reached our targer for our little Nelly Noodles, she is currently responding better than can be expected to medical managemnet and is continuing to grow and get a more substancial size for her big operation! We are hoping to get it done in a couple of months to give her the best chance, we are taking things day by day! We cannot begin to thank you enough for your on going support! Shes even started swimming now 😍

Nelly had her first experience of snow over the last few days and has loved every second of it! Watching her playing and being so full of mischief and having her chance has overwhelmed me all over again. Its because of you guys that shes been given this oppourtunity so once again, Thank you.
