NPCL is in danger of closing! The picture shows our original centre with some of our successful students who have just received their certificates.

To those of you who are not aware of use - here goes......

NPCL is a community learning centre in Plymouth offering a holistic programme of support to EVERYONE who walks through the door....

Need help with a CV... we can do that....Not sure how to use a computer..... we can do that ....Help with English and maths ......we do that too...

We also offer everyone who visits the chance to speak to our Advice and Guidance worker.....WHY? because she can help people who have lost their way, need to talk about problems they are having in getting back to work or training, or how to occupy their time now that they have retired.

We run a number of different groups to suit all ages and tastes.

Like gardening? - join our group on a Tuesday working on improving the centre's outside environment.

Need to learn basic cooking skills - One Pot Cooking might be just the ticket!
Fancy free tea and toast - drop in Wednesday morning.

Our Live Well Be Well encourages healthy living and lifestyle.

We have helped many people get back into work, take up training or improve their skills. Our Interview Skills courses help people to gain skills and confidence. One student recently said that it was as a result of the course that he got a job

'I didn't know what to do before I came to NPCL - my life has changed
since I came here, and I now have a job as a result'

But after 30 years of helping people in and around Plymouth we might be forced to close - WHY??? because cutbacks have diminished our funding to the point where we may not be able to carry on the work that we do.

Please help us to help people in the local area -
