I've raised £2000 to Save our Zoo - Raising money for Cedars Nature Centre during Covid 19 winter lockdowns.

Cedars Nature Centre is an award winning small community zoo based in the historic Cedars Park, in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire. This year has been extremely tough for everyone, no one on earth has not been affected is some way by the Corona Virus pandemic. Zoos have certainly had their fair share of problems and sadly we have still not received anything from the goverment zoo grant despite applying in September.
During the first lockdown we were entirely supported by the publics generous donations and without you we would not be here. We cannot thank you enough.
We couldn't wait to welcome you all back at the end of July! Little did we know that we would have a second lockdown and tier changes that meant that we would be closed for a total of nearly 6 months of 2020!
Although our doors are closed our running costs are still the same and as we are entirely self funded we currently have no income. Our keepers are still working hard, looking after the animals and making sure their welfare is kept to a high standard.
We are once again asking you for your help. We are looking to raise £2000 to help with our animal food, animal bedding, heating bill and veterinary care costs during winter.
We are at the last hurdle of 2020 and we do not want to fall after everything we have fought for during this year. Once we reopen we can finally get an income back into the zoo and work towards our goals for the future.
If you are able to support us with any amount at all then please donate here.
If we reach our goal we will be giving away a VIP Tour for 1 family bubble. Please ensure you leave your name next to your donation as we will be randomly selecting a winner.
If you wish to support us by other means we are very happy to receive any donations of fruit, vegetables and kitchen towel. You can do this by emailing us on info@cedarsnaturecentre.co.uk
We really appreciate all the support and donations that you have given us and we hope to see you all in brighter and better 2021.
Take care and stay safe,
Team Cedars
