I'm raising £12000 to Help Save the Southampton Daisy Bus – A lifeline for Island Cancer Patients

Story

The Daisy Bus is more than just a vehicle – it’s a lifeline for Isle of Wight cancer patients travelling to Southampton for vital treatment. Since 2001, it has provided free, reliable transport to and from vital hospital appointments, easing the burden on those already facing the toughest of journeys.

But this essential service is at risk of stopping next week after existing funding sources dried up.

With the support of the IW Open Umbrella Cancer Support Group, both Isle of Wight MPs Richard Quigley and Joe Robertson, and other local organisations, a new community-led campaign has been launched to save the Southampton Daisy Bus. Michèle Newton has been elected to chair the newly formed group, and we’re working urgently to keep the wheels turning next week - and also to develop plans to ensure the future of this vital service.

We need your help.

Whether you can donate to help cover short-term running costs, fundraise in the community, offer your time as a volunteer driver, or provide support in any other way – your contribution will make a real difference. If you'd like to get involved e-mail us at savethedaisybus@gmail.com .

No one should face cancer alone - or worry about how they’ll reach the care they desperately need. Please give what you can, spread the word, and help us ensure this vital lifeline doesn’t grind to a halt.

Every pound raised will go directly towards keeping the Daisy Bus on the road, ensuring that no Islander has to worry about how they’ll get to treatment. Please donate today and help us protect this life-saving service for those who need it most.

Thank you!
