We are a christian couple,  we live in Burwell, Cambridgeshire.  Our charity is called 'Save The Homeless UK Ltd' charitable Company -No 10468012

Peter my husband was manager of a successful Homeless Night Shelter for five years and understands homelessness as he has experienced homelessness himself and all that it entails.  I also worked alongside him when needed.

Our goal is to start a  homeless hostel with good facilities and services for all nationalities with the focus of helping people to rebuild their lives and to become independent.  To have those basic things that we take for granted, a roof over your head, a bed to sleep in, warmth, food,  clothing, and a sense of well-being.  To know that they are a valuable member of society and that they matter. 

The homeless situation is at a critical point, and we hope to help with issues of drug addiction and alcohol abuse as well as homelessness due to poverty, marriage breakdowns, and many other reasons that bring about this situation in someones life.   

 We will be registering with the Government which will enable us to receive Gift Aid. 

We are aiming to raise £5000  initially to get the charity on its way to its ultimate goal. 
We are hoping to have this amount raised by March 2017 .

We are at the initial stages of this venture and will be updating you as things progress. The aim is will ultimately be to acquire a suitable property, in partnerhsip with local Government,  and convert it or update as necessary and set up.  Even with the local Government involved we will need your support financially and prayerfully as with cut backs etc it will not be sufficient to cover the project.   

We are not sure exactly where in the area the property will be situated as it depends on where the greatest need is.  We will provide updates on this.
