Story
This year, for International Primate Day, the primate team at Noah's Ark Zoo are fundraising on behalf of the Kalaweit Project; an organisation that works across Borneo and Sumatra to rescue gibbons, and protect the forests of Indonesia.
All money raised this year is going towards purchasing more land for the Dulan Reserve; a refuge for many animals that have fled deforestation in Borneo, including Orangutans, Gibbons, Sun Bears, Clouded Leopards, plus many other primates, birds, and reptiles.
For less than £10 you can help secure 100m² of forest for the Dulan Reserve!
On the 31st August and the 1st September we are having a stall set up on site selling artwork made by various animals, as well as cakes, treats, and other goodies such as keyrings, beeswax wraps, and reusable shopping bags that our dedicated team have hand made.
Special gibbon talks, face painting, games and activities will also be on the cards, as well as a special eco-trail around the zoo site.
If you can't make it in to celebrate gibbons with us, please consider donating towards this cause, and help us protect gibbons and their home!
