In Serbia, over the past several years, a number of homeless and abounded dogs has been increased because the official regulations related to animals care and welfare aren’t fully implemented. Maya is one of these homeless and abandoned dogs. When I found her, she had/still has multiple areas of hair loss on her back and tail. Thinking that she might’ve been injured, I slowly approached her while she was lying in the grass. She was scared, but didn’t walk away from me, so I tried to comfort her before taking a good look at the sore areas on her body. But, the moment I touched her, she started screaming out in terror at the notion of being petted. She was extremely traumatized and rescuing her was not that easy. Maya was straggling, snapping and screaming, but eventually I managed to restrain her and bring to my home.

It’s been 2-3 weeks now since Maya is at my place, but her condition isn’t improved. She is still terrified and doesn’t allow anyone to touch her. Due to her psychological and physical condition, she desperately needs professional help. I’m asking for your help in raising those necessary funds for Maya to be placed in God's Dog rescue center, Serbia, where accommodation, proper veterinary care and socialization/rehabilitation treatment will be provided to her on daily basis.
