My Dad took ill on Friday night in Jamaica and was taken to hospital. He is suffering from sever pneumonia. Due to other medication he is on this has hit him very hard and he is now in an ICU and heavily sedated. We need to get him to a hospital with an ECMO machine.

Mum and Dad do have travel insurance with all previous conditions declared. The Travel insurance company are not validating the claim as my Dad went to the Doctors on the Friday before but was declared fit to travel. The GP in Belfast has declared in writing and verbally that he had no obvious pre-conditions. That being said the insurance company are still putting money first and trying to find a loop hole.

Meanwhile Dad is in a $7000 per day ICU which the family can pay for a few days yet. However we need to organise a Medivac. We have gotten multiple quotes overnight. The price ranges up to £110,000 but the cheapest we have found ins £69,400.

The family can fund a good portion of this but it is a case of then having less money to pay for the ICU in Jamaica until the Medivac gets there.

AS a family we cannot let pride get in the way of helping our Dad so therefore we are asking folks to please help us fund the Medivac.
