Stourport Boat Club is a cherished institution situated alongside the beautiful banks of the River Severn. The club was established in 1876 and has stood as a beacon of inclusivity, camaraderie and sporting excellence for generations.

As Stourport Boat Club members we pride ourselves on fostering a welcoming environment where individuals of all ages, backgrounds and abilities come together to revel in the joy of rowing. In recent years there has been significant growth in the women’s squad our squad has grown by 400% since 2019. This has resulted in ‘history’ for the first time in Stourport Boat Clubs records the women’s section is bigger than the men’s. Something of a remarkable fact that we are incredibly proud of and plan to promote.

Stourport Boat Club is a non-profit organisation and with this comes limited funds to support our desire to grow and promote the women within our club! A large majority of our equipment must serve a dual purpose, catering to both men and women. Sadly this compromises the talent and experience of our female rowers hindering our ability to compete on an equal footing with larger clubs that have the luxury of greater financial resources.

For Stourport Boat Club to continue to provide an environment of inclusivity and excellence we need your support. Your support can propel our mission forward enabling us to provide greater opportunities for women. With your assistance we aim to level the playing field by acquiring a lightweight boat specifically catered towards women this boat will not only facilitate ease of use but also offer a competitive edge on the water, empowering our female athletes to reach new heights of success.
