Story

Hello, my name is Theresa Robinson.

Because I’m disabled and on a low income I was looking for a way to make a little more money at home. One day, whilst searching the internet I came across a site claiming to be an investment business. I left my email address and later received a call from a guy who was working for Option.fm binary options, he claimed that they were based in Canary Wharf, London.

To cut a very long story short, this company went on to scam me out of £18,000. Now I did not have that amount of money, I used my credit card, the card that I had not used for a long time because I did not want to get into debt and not be able to pay it back. This company made promises that I believed, they were so convincing that I honestly thought that they would help me. I just got in deeper and deeper and more desperate, until it was too late to get out.

I tried to get a chargeback from MBNA, they thought that it would be successful but the company was so clever it failed. I then went on to try a Section 75, but that failed because MBNA could not locate them, as it turned out they were not in London, they were Israel!

I tried the Financial Ombudsman, but they did not help me. I reported it to the police, but they could not help as the company was abroad, I also reported it to Action Fraud, all to no avail.

I now have this massive debt hanging over me, that I shall be paying until I die. I suffer with anxiety attacks, something that I have never experienced before all this happened. I wake up in the middle of the night, panicking, and my heart racing.

As a last resort I am trying this crowd funding site, I hate asking for help, if you can not help me then please share this with your friends, thank you for taking the time to read my story.
