I am currently on a year long placement in a primary school. The priest who is attached to the school is going out to Uganda over new year to help in the orphanage his friend runs.

In order to go to school, children in Uganda need to be able to pay fees of £100 a year. The children we are raising money for are orphan refugees who have fled conflict in the nearby Congo.

The P7's I am working with are running a Christmas craft sale and I thought I would try to find a way to "do my bit".

In order to raise funds The Edinburgh Revue have very kindly agreed to hold an extraordinary comedy night in Banshees Labyrinth on the 2nd of December.

If you are unable to make it to the gig please consider donating £1 (or more) to this page. It would be wonderful to be able to send some of these children some great news for Christmas. An education will make a real difference to their lives and give them another little bit of security.
