Hi all, my name is Scott and I have set this page up in honour of an 83yr old referee name Eric Mann who officiated my game today between Unicorn FV and Penlake vets over 35's 29th Jan 2023, the game was cancelled after 5 minutes as unfortunately Eric collapsed from a suspected heart attack, with the help of people on site we was able to keep him breathing with the use of CPR and a Defibrillator until paramedics arrived, after speaking with his son it turns out he suffered 2 heart attacks and has now undergone stent surgery and is in an induced coma, his family don't know I'm doing this but as a team and club it's something we wanted to do to help in any small way it can, If anyone can donate then that would be amazing or even share as nobody should go to do something they love and not return home, Eric has been officiating for 60 years Saturday and Sunday and even managed to throw a few 5/6 aside midweekngames in ⚽️.So this is a small thankyou on behalf of app the grassroots football community for all he's done for the game we all love. I'm hopeful all will be OK and he can use this money to treat himself in anyway he chooses, thanks for reading. 🙏⚽️
