I'm raising £2000 to help us create a Community Café at Bicester Community Support Service that the people we support will run and thrive in.

Story

Hi, my name is Scott Wilkinson and I am a Team Leader at Bicester Community Support Service (BCSS).

At BCSS, we support adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and dementia to live more independent, fulfilling lives. Every day, we provide meaningful activities and opportunities that improve health, build confidence, and reduce social isolation.

Why we’re fundraising

We’re raising funds to bring an exciting vision to life — a fully inclusive community café, created and run with the people we support.

This café will be more than just a place to enjoy a drink or a meal.

It will:

Provide real-life skills and work experience

Build confidence, independence, and social connection

Give individuals a genuine sense of purpose and achievement

Create opportunities to engage with the wider local community

For many of the people we support, opportunities like this are life-changing. Being part of something valued in the community can significantly boost self-esteem and overall wellbeing.

How your support will help

Your donations will go directly towards making this café a reality — helping us fund equipment, furnishings, training opportunities, and resources needed to get started.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring us one step closer to creating a space where people can thrive, grow, and feel truly included.

Thank you

By supporting this project, you’re not just funding a café — you’re helping to create opportunity, independence, and a stronger, more inclusive community.
