Story
Our village volunteers are helping to meet local demand in a nationwide challenge: to provide front line NHS staff with scrubs, scrub bags, gowns and hand sanitiser. The Covid-19 pandemic has dramatically increased the need for all these in our area: many patient-facing staff working in the community and hospitals who would not normally wear scrubs now need them in order to work safely.
The Girton hub includes more than 20 sewing enthusiasts, and a local businesswoman who has turned her hand cream production into making and bottling hand-sanitiser to give where it's needed.
Liaising closely with the CPFT, our initial target is to donate 30 sets of scrubs,100 scrub bags and 100 bottles of sanitiser. The more we can raise, the more we can make. Please help us if you can!

Girton Scrub Hub, Cambridgshire
4 years agoHi to All generous people who have and still are contributing to our fundraising page. Our volunteers continue to provide PPE for the front line staff - sewing scrubs, scrub bags, making sanitiser for the health care workers working in the community so that they have some protective equipment. Cambridge Scrub hub recently moved to Cotton Hall, Girton, opening hrs.10 - 3, Mon - Fri. to volunteers for dropping off materials or finished items, queries. Girton Scrub hub is collaborating with them, we're so proud to be helping the NHS. Thank You !
