I've raised £500 to donate to Animal Heaven Animal Rescue, Harley's Heroes and Kids in Need and Distress

On May 20th this year I will be running the Rock'n'Roll Half Marathon in Liverpool - which, if you know me, is absolutely ridiculous!
Having always been the fat girl who couldn't run, I started running last year to do the Rock'n'Roll 5k for Animal Heaven Animal Rescue.
Once I started pounding the streets I realised I couldn't stop. So here we are now ready to attempt 13.1 miles.
If I'm going to do this - and I'm still not sure I can - I need to do it for causes I love and that's why I'm raising money for:
Animal Heaven Animal Rescue - if you know me, you'll know why this one is there
Harley's Heroes - an amazing organisation helping dogs with cancer and run by a dear friend
Kids In Need and Distress - my late dad's chosen charity. Dad grew up in very difficult circumstances in the poorest part of Liverpool, his mum died when he was a few weeks old and it was the forerunner of this organisation that gave him the kind of experiences that most of us take for granted. Dad passed on to me the fundraising gene - he raised thousands in his 52 years - so although I usually fundraise purely for animals, this one is really important
If you can spare anything at all to support these great causes I would be simply over the moon.
A half marathon for me is a real challenge but with your support, every step can make a real difference.
Thank you for reading.
