Location: Qader Khan Village, Kohistan District, Kapisa Province, Afghanistan.

Assalamu Alikum Brothers & Sisters, by the will of Allah (subhanahu wa ta`ala), we are raising funds which will go directly towards the renovation work of the masjid. The Masjid caters for the needs of the local community. The Masjid in the village has been run down and in poor condition for many years. This Masjid is key for the locals because not only does it serve for the 5 daily prayers of the locals but it is also a meeting point for the villagers. The masjid facilitates good practice in faith, community development and social cohesion. In addition, it is also a place of learning for the school kids to come to for madrasa before and after school. The families that live in the village are struggling to provide for their own families, so renovating the masjid for prayers and Islamic education is only possible from outside help.

Main areas of Renovation:

• Reconstructing the roof

• Repainting of the walls both inside and outside of the Masjid

• Concreting the floor of the masjid and a new carpet

• Concreting the pathways to the masjid

• Reconstructing the windows of the masjid

• Rehabilitating the outside area of the masjid

By the permission of Allāh (subḥānahu wata`āla), this will be a form of sadaqah tul-Jariyah (ongoing charity during ones life and after death) by every individual that prays a prayer, benefits from a reminder or talk, learns/ implements something new, and any other form of good, in sha Allah you will also receive a reward likewise.

I've set up this page to help fund the renovation of the Masjid. In Sha Allah with everyone's generous donations, this project can be completed. In an authentic narration, 'Umar ibn Al-Khattab (rA) is reported to have heard the Messenger of Allāh (salalahu 'alayhi wasalam) to have said,

"Whoever builds a Masjid for Allāh in which He will be remembered in, Allāh will build for him a home in Paradise"

SHEIKH MUHAMMAD IBN SALIH AL UTHAYMEEN STATED:

“VERILY THE MASAJID – O MANKIND – ARE HOUSES OF ALLAH BECAUSE THEY ARE PLACES WHERE HE IS REMEMBERED, WORSHIPPED AND GLORIFIED, AND HIS BOOK IS READ, HIS LEGISLATION IS PROPOGATED AND IT IS AN ABODE FOR HIS RIGHTEOUS SERVANTS. INDEED THE MASAJID ARE AMONG THE BEST THINGS TO SPEND WEALTH UPON, ITS REWARDS ARE AMONG THE MOST LASTING AND ITS BENEFIT IS AMONG THE MOST WIDE RANGING”.

A difficult task for a few individuals, but a VERY achievable task if we all come together.

Allah SWT says in the Qur'an: "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills".

The Messenger of Allah SAW said: “Give regular in charity out of your property, for truly it is a purifier."
