Story
The David Goggins challenge I am taking consists of running 48 miles in 48 hours, but you have to run 4 miles every 4 hours!! This will mean running through the night as well as daytime and I will complete it no matter what weather conditions I'm given! I'm not a runner and it really aggravates my arthritis so this will not only push me out of my comfort zone but also through pain barriers I hope will push people to donate and raise as much money as possible to help people in crisis.
No one in our communities should go hungry, but nationally the number of people in crisis who find themselves having to access food banks grows every year and the demand has grown even more this year due to Covid!!
Having previously worked in Newcastle City Centre I have witnessed this first hand and always try to do my bit to help out! However this year with the growth being even bigger I wanted to push even harder to help those in need. It is literally £4.99 to buy a homeless person a Christmas meal and the wonderful volunteers from North East Homeless are out and about delivering them on Xmas Eve!!
Like I said any donations will add up to help make someone's Xmas Eve with a warm meal.
I plan to start this challenge at 10pm on Saturday 5th December as I have a 48 window between work and will hopefully complete it by 10pm on Monday 7th December. I will keep people updated with posts and stories on my social media.
Thank you and in this rubbish year let's do something positive and help others ❤x
