I'm raising £1000 to support children/youth

Story

100/24

I'm not going to walk 500 miles or 500 more, however, I will be walking 100km in 24 hours. because:

a) I have grown up from being young and stupid to be old and stupid.

b) I can't run on account of a big chunk of metal for a femur, and

c) more importantly I want to raise money to support children's welfare at an amazing school I work at: Langland Community School.

Langland Community School, located in a deprived area of Milton Keynes, has amazing children supported by phenomenal staff with whom I have the privilege to work with. Throughout the school year we organise events to enable our children to experience things they may otherwise not get the chance to do so such as cinema trips, visits to the seaside (we took the whole school to Hunstanton last year) and other pastoral activities. The money you will help me raise will go towards this (It does not include the staff biscuit fund by the way).

I will be participating in the MK24 event on the weekend of 21st/22nd June based at the Coldecote Experience in Simson, on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, starting at 12 noon. It is a 24 hour event with a 1/4 marathon course of which you can do as many loops as you want/can.

100km, or 62 miles (give or take) is the equivalent to walking from Northampton to Central London, Langland School to Birmingham, 250 running tracks, 952 football pitches, 9091 London buses or from here to the moon (kind of).
