This year our very own Mr Beechy Sean Cox will be running two marathons.

The Manchester Marathon on the 7th April and the London Marathon on the 28th April.

Sean will be running the both to raise funds for Beechfield United Junior Football Club.

For over 12 years Sean has been hugely involved with Beechfield having 3 sons all playing forthe club his commitment amd dedication is clear.

Sean first started at Beechy when his eldest son Joe started with Under 7’s and taking them through to Under 17’s. Sean’s second son Tom also joined at Under 7’s and Sean is currently managing them through an impressive season at Under 14’s and finally youngest son Matthew who is currently playing at Under 10’s and Sean regularly supports and assists with the team.

Over the years Sean has had fantastic seasons with his teams reaching many finals and taking home a number of trophies.

Sean also shows his commitment to the club with all his hard work dedicated to fundraising. His annual race night at Swinton Golf Club has proved a massive success and has raised a great deal of funds for the club.

Over the years Sean has earned the respect of his players, fellow managers, referees and parents and is a valued member of Beechfield United Football Club.
