Story
Hi, I am Terry Storrie.
On 19th October, I am running Amsterdam Marathon in aid of Oliver's Trust SCIO and I'm planning on raising £500 or more.
Oliver’s Trust was set up by Sean & Natalie Wright from Hawick in memory of their son Oliver Ian Wright who died of a rare condition called LCH. LCH affects 1 in 2 million babies.
Sean & Natalie hope to be able to create a glimmer of hope for families of sick children at Borders General Hospital by creating a “Home from Home” near the BGH for families to take some respite.
While they continue to fundraise for the “Home from Home,” which may take some time, Oliver’s Trust provide “pick me up packages” to Ward 15 & SCBU, which include (but not restricted to) toiletries etc, which will help parents/families of sick children who need it, should they need to stay overnight unexpectedly at the BGH. Over 200 have been provided so far.
Oliver’s Trust hopes to set up volunteer programmes to help families emotionally & physically by supporting them when they have children staying overnight in the BGH.
Any donation will be gratefully received.
