Story
Sean Sandford, an Aston Old Edwardian, who was last season's 2nd XV player of the season, and who also represented both the Rugby Club and Cricket Club at 1st team level, sadly passed away on Wednesday 11th July, leaving a 3 year old son, Barnaby. Our thoughts are with Sean's family and friends at this tragic time.
Barnaby's dad was diagnosed with Grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma Primary Brain Cancer just a short while ago. On the morning of Wednesday the 11th of July, he suffered a seizure which lead to him being on life support and it was confirmed that there was nothing more that could be done.
A group of Aston Old Edwardians - Brian Hopkins, Gordon Loffman, Glyn Brazell, Neil Glasby & Helen Williams had already started to walk the length of Offa's Dyke - and we decided to see if we could raise some money to help Barnaby at the same time.
Offa's Dyke is a 177 mile walk from Prestatyn to Chepstow - and we are walking it in stages over the coming months - usually at weekends.
We'd be delighted if you can help us to raise some money to offer Barnaby and his family some support - all monies donated will go directly to the family, all expenses from the walk are covered by the 5 of us.
Thank You
