- Funded on Friday, 31st January 2020
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Dear friends and family of Sean and MarieClaire and fans of Casa Angelina: as you are no doubt aware by now, Sean has lost his battle with throat cancer, which was diagnosed in March. He sadly spent most of the last few months in hospital. While he remained positive to the end and fought with all his might, it was a particularly aggressive cancer, and it took him at just 43. Sean was a wonderful and loving partner to MarieClaire, an amazing father to Lucius (2) and James(9), and a fantastic stepdad to Tobey (12) and Willow (9). As you can imagine, they are all absolutely devastated.
Because they ran Casa Angelina together, mourning will be particularly wrenching for MarieClaire. The last couple of months has seen MarieClaire run the business on her own, whilst caring for Sean in hospital and looking after the children. This has all been very difficult.
Obviously, it isn't the case that MarieClaire can just take personal leave while the business chugs along. She is going to need time to come to terms with this horrific loss, and to help the children cope, as well. The last thing she should have to worry about at a time like this is money, but...as you know, bills stop for no one.
We are putting this out there with the hope that we can all chip in to lighten the load a bit. MarieClaire and the children need your support. Thanks in advance for whatever you might be able to give to help cover costs until MarieClaire is ready to get back to work.
Thank you so much xx

I am so sorry for your loss, Marie Claire and your beautiful family. I hope this can help somehow, even if just a little. All my best wishes for the future and stay as strong and brave as you are.
