Story
Seb Chadwick was 38 year old man who loved life and loved football. He has been taken from us far too early.
On Saturday the 23rd of March Seb 2024 collapsed during a football match for CSFC, who he had played for for 12 years. He had a brain Aneurysm which burst during the game. Seb didn't know he had the condition. CPR was performed on the pitch by one of his teammates, Paramedics attended almost immediately. He was taken to Intensive Care, despite the best care we could have hoped for he sadly passed away on Monday 25th March.
Seb was a hero and that heroism was reflected in all aspects of not only his life, but also his death. His positive decision to be an organ donor has given 4 different families new found hope.
Seb was a great footballer, an amazing competitor who you always wanted on your side when going into battle. He was a very popular member of the club and it was always known when Seb was in the room. Everyone who he touched in his time with us misses him enormously. Nobody was prepared to lose him so young. We want to support those he has left behind in any way we can and also to remember him and the laughter he brought into our lives.
We are fundraising to provide any immediate support for his family with regards to putting in place a fitting tribute to his life and everything he gave to our club. Any contribution will help us to pay tribute to an amazing young man's life and support those who he is no longer here to care for.
RIP Seb Chadwick. 1985-2024. Never forgotten.
The Civil Service Football Club is open to all and provides football for players of all abilities across our men's and women's teams.
