Story
Sefton Park Cricket Club https://www.seftonparkcc.co.uk/ are planning a 35-mile one day charity walk on Good Friday 29 March 2024 starting at Fleetwood Hesketh Cricket Club, Southport at 5:52am; scheduled sunrise time.
Our aim is to walk to Southport Trinity, Southport & Birkdale, Ainsdale, then along the coastal path to Formby, Hightown St Mary's, Bootle then along the waterfront to Otterspool before walking through Sefton Park to arrive back at our club.
Our aim is to raise funds for three cricket inspired charities. It is our intention to split the donations 25% to each charity as well as 25% allocated to ground development at our club.
• The Bob Willis Fund | Raising money for better Prostate Cancer screening
• Additional Support - Ruth Strauss Foundation
• Opening Up Cricket | Mental wellbeing & suicide prevention through cricket - this charity is led by one of our members.
