I'm raising £7000 to To fund an inclusive, intergenerational Pride event that centres LGBTQ+ families, offering a safe space and activities for all ages.

SE London Pride is a grassroots organisation led by passionate black and POC community members. We seek to celebrate, uplift & amplify the voices and experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community of SE London. We focus on creating safe spaces, and fostering inclusion for those who experience marginalisation, particularly individuals from the global majority. Through events and programmes, we aim to connect, empower, and uplift LGBTQIA+ people of all ages
Event Date: 17 August 2025
Location: Goldsmiths University Campus, SE14
We’re raising £7,000 to deliver our free annual, family-friendly Pride celebration for LGBTQIA+ families and individuals in South east London. Every donation helps us create a joyful, safe space where our children, carers, chosen families and allies can come together.
We’re not a brand or a corporation. We’re volunteers building this with love. But love doesn’t pay for staging, insurance, security, BSL interpretation, kids’ entertainment, or accessible toilets. That’s why we need your help.

A Pride That Grows With Us
This fundraiser isn’t just for one event. It’s our long-term fundraising home. Each year, we want to come back to you, our neighbours, friends, and chosen family, to grow this celebration into a permanent part of Southeast London’s cultural life.
If we go over our £7k goal, funds will go directly to our 2026 event and outreach programme.
Why Southeast London Pride Matters
London is full of Pride, but not all of it feels like our Pride. That’s why we’re creating something that centres:
• Queer families and LGBTQIA+ parents
• Black, Brown and working-class communities
• Trans, non-binary, and disabled people
• Joy, healing and intergenerational solidarity
What our community have to say about what SE Pride means to them:
"Realised had more queer connections to people in the area than expected. Running bi/queer events in SE London feels more possible"
"It means there is an understanding that there is a queer community in South East and offers an opportunity to connect with our local queer community"
"I haven't been to London Pride for a few years as I have a small child who can be easily overwhelmed in crowds, so it means a lot to have a local, welcoming and accessible space to celebrate Pride both for me and my child"
"I think it has definitely made me aware of more LGBTQ+ involvement in the local area and I'm definitely curious about getting involved next year"
What will be at the event?
A queer makers market
Talks
Open mic to showcase local talent
Food
Family friendly activities
And much more!
