Story

Dear Friends,

As you know, within hours, two earthquakes hit Turkey and Syria, devastating homes, hospitals and schools. More than 40,000 people have been killed so far and 100,000 injured. Beneath the ruins untold numbers remain buried. There are 17 million people in the affected areas and many of them are in urgent need of shelter, food, and medical aid.

My hometown Hatay, in Turkey, is in the centre of this disaster and has also been destroyed. My home is gone and my family barely survived. They are living on the street in a tent, enduring freezing conditions, just like thousands of other survivors.

I am raising funds to be sent directly to local organisations in Hatay that are really making a difference in my home town by sourcing supplies for warmth, shelter, food and medicine, as well as being part of the rescue teams.

Donations now will help save lives.

- £10 could provide blankets for two people to keep warm.

- £30 could provide blankets for six people to keep warm.

- £50 could provide emergency food for two families for 10 days.

- £100 could provide emergency shelter for four families.

Even a small donation would make a massive difference.

Please help by donating today, if you can, and help me to share my story.

Thank you.
